As a small charity, people who support the work of Bee’s Food Drive and are aged 18 and over, can apply to the trustees to become a member of the charity.
Once accepted by the trustees, membership lasts for 3 years and may be renewed.
The trustees may remove a person’s membership if they believe that it is in the best interests of the charity. The member has the right to be heard by the trustees before the decision is made and can be accompanied by a friend.
Because of this, we require professionalism and integrity from all our members to ensure that Bee’s Food Drive is reflected positively in the community.
We are also looking for individuals who are passionate about giving back to the community and are committed to making a difference in the fight against food insecurity and hunger.
If you meet all of these requirements, we’d be delighted to welcome you as a member of Bee’s Food Drive.
Benefits of becoming a member
Two of the major other benefits of becoming a member of Bee’s Food Drive are that you have the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and make new friends. You also get regular updates on the charity’s activities and impact.

The charity’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held at least once a year and notice will be given to all members via email. Every member has one vote and any member may stand for election as a trustee.
Members shall elect between 3 – 10 trustees to serve for the year. They will retire at the next AGM but may stand for re-election.
Whilst the charity’s constitution was signed on the 30th of March 2023, the previous annual report and accounts was presented in December 2022.
Annual General Meetings
Whilst we understand that members may have other commitments and restrictions, we require a certain level of commitment and availability to ensure the proper functioning of the organization.
As a minimum, we ask that our members are available to attend at least one AGM annually.
We anticipate that the next annual accounts will be presented between December 2023 and January 2024. The exact date will be confirmed closer to the time.
